​Cider is very versatile as it has lower alcohol content than wine and is less carbonated than beer. It is a drink that has had an explosive increase in its consumption of 4.25% from 2019 to 2020 in Spain alone, according to IWSR, an organization that has been a benchmark in the world market for alcoholic beverages for more than 50 years.​

According to the definition of the Royal Academy of the Spanish Language (RAE), cider is defined as an “alcoholic drink, amber in color, obtained by fermenting the juice of squeezed apples”

Llagar de Barría
